Founded way back in 1887 and located next to the Royal Botanical Gardens and the shores of Lake Ontario, McMaster University is also next to nature trails, biking paths, and the Hamilton waterfront. Lovely!

McMaster has seven gymnasiums, three studios, three natural grass fields, two artificial soft-surface fields, a 50-metre pool, 200m indoor track, squash courts, an indoor climbing wall, the only Alpine Tower High Ropes course at a Canadian university, and one of the largest university fitness centres in Canada! (Um, we’re pretty sure you won’t be bored.)

McMaster’s twelve on-campus residences are divided into lifestyle themes (All Female Community, Women & Leadership Community, Quiet Communities, Alcohol Free Community, Healthy Active Living Community, Global Perspectives Community, and La Maison Francaise).
There’s lots of services and programs just for you at the Student Success Centre.
There are four libraries at McMaster with over 2 million books!
